Volunteer Roles

In addition to your Section Leaders, Auxiliary Committee, and Group Council there are a number of volunteer roles that help groups run more smoothly. These can be filled by non-rover adults, but keep in mind that all adults working directly with youth should be background checked through National.
General Group Volunteers
Website and Social Media Manager
Keeps the website up to date and posts to social media accounts.
Recruitment Coordinator
Advertises the group and recruits prospective members through outreach to local schools and organizations.
Fundraising Coordinator
Plans and leads fundraisers in coordination with the group council and the group treasurer.
Grant Writer
Seeks out and writes grants to secure additional funding for the group.
Meeting Volunteer Roles

Otter & Timberwolf Parent Helpers
Help scouts with activities, help keep track of scouts
Activity Leaders
Plan and lead specific activities that they have expertise in. This is a great way to demonstrate specialized knowledge or skills.
